Bugatti Chiron - 1:24

Sixteen cylinders, four turbos, fifteen hundred horsepower.

The Chiron arrived in 2016 as Bugatti's answer to its own legend, succeeding the Veyron with a quad-turbo W16 making 1,500 cv and a top speed gated only by the limits of its tyres. Named for Louis Chiron, the Monégasque ace who raced for Bugatti in the marque's golden age, it set a new bar for what a road car could physically do. Engineering taken past the point of reason, then refined into something usable.

A gradient runs from deep black into burning red behind it, picking up the car's own two-tone split and stretching it across the whole field, restraint and heat in one frame.

The number everyone quotes, and almost no one comprehends.
