By 1985 Alain Prost had already lost two titles by a whisker, the cruellest settled by half a point a year earlier. The MP4/2B, its TAG-Porsche turbo V6 honed to a fine edge, was the car that ended the wait and delivered his first World Championship. Precise, relentless, quietly devastating, exactly like the man they called the Professor.
